MODO - MONITORING OF STUDENTS' EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
In accordance with paragraph 4 of Article 55 of the Law on Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 27, 2007 (as amended and supplemented on January 8, 2021), the External Assessment of Educational Achievements of Secondary Education was changed into Monitoring of Educational Achievements of Students in Primary and Basic Secondary Education (hereinafter - MODO).
In organizations of primary and basic secondary education, MODO is a systematic monitoring of the quality of education, independent of educational organizations, carried out in order to assess the quality of students' knowledge for compliance with state compulsory standards of primary and basic secondary education.

MODO Rules
MODO in grades 4 is carried out in the form of a comprehensive test using information and communication technologies (hereinafter referred to as ICT) in the language of instruction in three areas of functional literacy: reading literacy, mathematical literacy, natural science literacy.
The structure of the test for students in grade 4:
Reading literacy - 10 test tasks;
Mathematical literacy - 12 test tasks;
Natural science literacy - 8 test tasks.
Form of test tasks: with the choice of one correct answer.
The test run time is 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes).
The maximum score is 30.
MODO in grades 9 is carried out in the form of a comprehensive test using ICT in the language of instruction in three areas of functional literacy: reading literacy (texts in Russian, Kazakh and English), mathematical literacy, natural science literacy.
The structure of the test for 9th grade students:
Reading literacy (Kazakh language, Russian language, English language) for each language, 10 test items, 30 test items in total;
Mathematical literacy - 13 test tasks;
Natural science literacy (physics, chemistry, biology, geography) for each subject, 8 test items, a total of 32 test items.
Form of test tasks: with the choice of one correct answer.
The test run time is 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes).
The maximum score is 75.
